Katie Tyson, 21, was killed Thursday evening, July 2, in a car accident in Colorado while returning from General Assembly where she served as an Arlington Street Church delegate.
Heather Concannon was driving back to Boston with Katie and was injured in the accident, but is expected to fully recover from her injuries.
Reverend Kim Crawford Harvie has spoken with Katie's family and other loved ones, and has also spoken with Heather in the hospital. ASC mourns the loss of one of our most active young adults, and sends thoughts and prayers to Katie's family and friends, to Katie's significant other, Liz, and to Heather as she recovers.
See the panel at the left for more information from Katie's home church in Virginia and especially on Facebook.
As information about a Boston-based memorial for Katie becomes available, we will post it here. It is likely to be planned for early fall when Rev. Kim returns, but nothing is known at this time.
